Corruption- A malpractice of overpowering the powerless.

Intro – corruption

Corruption – a global problem threatening the legality of laws, rules, and regulations.

Corruption is not a mere behavioral adaptation of wrong-doers.

Corruption is a habit, a bad habit that is hard to find any internal resistance once you start enjoying it

Corruption is now deeply infused into the veins and arteries of society everywhere.

Corruption was once taken as a vice by most people, and now, there are days when people are trying to find the possibility of getting into corruption.

Such a drastic transformation, that no one tries to rethink before stepping ahead to ask for illegitimate graft from the other side, which might be sometimes too vulnerable to oppose any wrongdoing.

A submerged VIP road in Delhi - No one is taking responsibility for the problem and the blame game is at its peak between the government agencies responsible for its maintenance.

Unrealistic system

Yes, you heard me right. I have some old essay books published before 1984 with no topic on corruption.

Surprised, right?

I was equally surprised when I decided to write on ‘Corruption’.

The iniquitous method is adopted by whatever big names you notice through various mediums.

This was a slow process with many hidden under a wrap, and with time, all the hesitation and reservations vanished into thin air.

People are immersed in corruption to such an extent that they forget all logic and reality, which leads to a massive collapse of the entire idea of development.

Corruption is one of the appalling factors adversely affecting the entire world in the long term.

It is said that excessive desire for anything is not good, especially money.

But this concept is now as outdated as creating fire by rubbing two flintstones against each other, people are going mad after money like there is nothing more important than hoarding money.

No honey without money

Yes, having enough money to survive in this world is important.

There is no barter system to get something that we need. Moreover, with the rise in materialistic lifestyles, people are not at ease with underprivileged people, no matter how humble they try to pretend to be.

When we want something all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

– Paulo Coelho

This famous quote silently holds a place in the hearts of people who make every possible effort to embrace a life full of corruption. They are thinking about money, dreaming about money, sleeping on piles of cash, avoiding direct contact with their immediate community, wandering between the hustle and bustle, and in the long run, these are the loneliest people in the world.

Yes, when we develop a strong desire for money, we cut ourselves from so many events around us because of some intrinsic urge to hide the accumulated money leading to restless nights, and days.

Conclusion

Finally, I acknowledge that I am not citing the Corruption Index in this article.
I am neither quoting the happiness index nor the GDP index.
Many indices are so flawed and one-sided that they may influence my views regarding corruption.
