Politics And Humanity

Politics And Humanity

With so many delusional political moments recently, or maybe after the USA presidential elections, I wanted to write about what’s going haywire in politics nowadays, and it doesn’t pertain to a specific nation.

To my utter surprise, when Mr. US president went to the extent of implicating unreal tariffs on fellow nations, the world is now set to a new unreal whirlwind due to this, especially from the powerful nations having veto power in the UN, while developing countries are yet to decide about these hefty tariff rates.

I don’t know much about the complexities of economics, and I have no desire to get involved in dirty politics. While I don’t believe there is anyone worse than the current political leaders, I feel it is my duty as a citizen to express my earnest concerns about the one-sided narrative surrounding the US president and his new slogan, “Make America Great Again.”

Power of Power

There are millions of concerns about saving our planet and just as many about saving humanity. Despite the numerous dedicated commemorative days, various parameters, countless seminars and conclaves, and an abundance of documents supporting this claim, the reality is that we are failing to protect the planet from our harmful intentions.

Every precious second of this valuable habitable planet is now getting overpowered by diseases, deadly weapons, and drugs, with common people suffering the most.

Power breeds arrogance; power-blind people are unable to understand the situation or assess the gravity of their atrocities against the underprivileged. They simply enjoy their power, satisfying their inner vicious nature without remorse.

Politics is increasingly disrupting the everyday lives of ordinary citizens, introducing a range of challenges and frustrations. This interference affects individuals regardless of their political affiliations or voting preferences, leading to disillusionment and helplessness as they navigate the complexities of policies that seem disconnected from their needs and concerns.

Sovereignty: Where do we stand today?

Having seen two very destructive world wars and with more and more inventions and advancements, the world is facing the threat of another world war, and yes, powerful nations are fuelling the threat by spreading fear among their fellow nations who are not complying with their illegal wishes and intentions.

There are serious concern about the overall parameters of development, health services, crimes, wars, weapon hoarding, radioactive garbage disposal, illegal immigration, human trafficking, brutal targeting of children and women when conflict happens between two nations, extreme cases of deforestation, climate changes, pollution, population, destruction of natural habitats without thinking about its outcome, lack of basic sanitation in most of the countries, worrisome condition of potable water, alarming rise of deadly diseases, and a grimmer situation after deadly COVID–19.

The blame game has become the new language.

The ability to blame others for your failure is a much sought-after quality of leadership in today’s political system.

For all the right reasons, politicians are a real menace to the wholesomeness of this earth. To save their skin from strenuous criticism when in power, they go beyond expectations, and in recent times, buying media is one of the main actions they take to cover their deeds, or misdeeds.

For various reasons, politicians can pose a significant threat to the integrity of our world. To protect themselves from harsh criticism while in power, one of their primary tactics has been to purchase media, and even social media platforms, to obscure their actions, perhaps more accurately described as misdeeds.

They do all the wrong things in a harrowing way, get away with whatever fortune they get as barter, and don’t ever pretend to have humanistic intentions, deliberately destroying the sanity of all the ethics they preach whenever they come in front of the public.

Discrimination at its worst

Being an Indian, I feel that we unnecessarily mumble about casteism, and why we are still into untouchability, and so many societal discriminations despite knowing the fact that we all can live peacefully together.

Moreover, we find discrimination among each other around us, even on small matters.

Discrimination manifests in various forms, even over seemingly minor issues. Whether it’s differences in race, gender, socioeconomic status, or personal beliefs, individuals often face bias and unfair treatment in everyday situations. This pervasive issue affects social interactions, contributing to larger systemic inequalities, highlighting the need for greater awareness and proactive measures to foster inclusivity and understanding among diverse communities.

Religious faith: Spiritual guide or cause for uproar?

Religious beliefs have existed since the beginning of human civilization. According to the fundamental teachings of various religions, we must respect each other and follow the basic principles of morality.

Recognizing our interconnectedness is vital for our collective survival. In a world that increasingly showcases diversity, we must foster a cooperative ecosystem where everyone plays a role. This means cultivating mutual respect for all individuals, irrespective of their caste, creed, citizenship, gender, religion, or skin color. By embracing our differences and working together harmoniously, we can build a more inclusive society that supports the well-being of every member, ensuring that no one is left behind in our pursuit of progress and harmony.

Though majority of us are well aware of this fact, our chosen representatives go exactly opposite of this, promoting hatred, unrest, violence, extremism, and ultimately a serious threat to this planet, victims are not just few people who face or faced hardships directly, it is all of us, we are failing ourselves in becoming a world citizen, and main culprits are politicians and people with immense power to rule the territory.

Why do problems seem to affect only ordinary people?

This is a straightforward query, unanswered even after crossing millions of milestones in human history.

Powerless individuals live at the mercy of a few powerful people. As a result, they don’t even dare to voice their concerns, worries, problems, and what I might call basic humanitarian needs.

The extent of their suffering is directly proportional to the fortune of a few power-seeking individuals.

Where are we heading?

With so many war-like situations in every other part of the world, we are bound to ask for the proposed measures to check them. Instead, we are witnessing blackmailing, overpowering, underestimating, downgrading, causing insurgency in sovereign countries, intentionally providing deadly weapons to extremist groups, secretly supporting drug syndicates, and targeting innocent people to spread fear so that no one could muster the courage to object to their unethical ways.

Social Media: A Directionless Guide

With the world brimming with advanced information technology and a surge of social media platforms with millions of users, we expect to see authentic news, accurate descriptions, genuine discussions, true representations of people we choose to govern the territory, and a realistic portrayal of our issues.

We receive false stories, fabricated news, and misinformation, all of which add to our problems while aiding those who strive to maintain power.

A humble request

Those who read this article should pledge to stop supporting the negative aspects that powerful individuals try to impose upon us, contaminating our culture with their hidden, malicious intentions.
