Exploring the political perspective of the world

Introduction:

Too much has been written about politics, politicians, and democracy.

Many years have passed since democratic practices began.

And after spending an entire era practicing democracy, the reality is that we are more autocratic than democratic, and this notion is applicable everywhere in the world.

Democracy Index 2024 – Economist Intelligence Unit

Amidst the current state of the world in utter chaos, the ineffectiveness of the once great United Nations is the toughest nut to swallow.

With 24 fully democratic countries, 46 flawed democracies, 36 hybrid regimes, and 58 authoritarian regimes, the world is still waiting for a better sky where its citizens can live without any threat or maltreatment from anyone.

Where do we stand?

High numbers of immigrants, refugees, and fugitives, whether legal or illegal, in all cases, the real victims are the common people. All the benefits from the involvement of these people go only to the powerful who are in a few numbers.

Who is the real Goliath?

For my respected readers, many of us have spent our educational journey reading about the great ‘USSR-USA’  Cold War.

Before that, while Western countries were busy with their Renaissance, most Asian countries were blatantly engaged in capturing each other’s territories, and India was in its historically worst hibernation.

Before its dark age, India was way ahead of its counterparts. Still, the impact of the return of extreme casteism and other discriminatory societal behaviors, along with several unsolicited foreign invasions, all that was so hard on the soul and soil of India that it is still tending her wounds despite being freed years ago.

Western nations, along with China and Japan, are at the forefront of innovation and development, driving significant progress on the global stage.

The only difference is that powerful nations are becoming rich at the expense of poor and underdeveloped countries, and these countries can’t even raise their voice against being exploited and misused for the sake of others’ prosperity.

That means, powerful countries owe their prosperity to these poor nations.

Religion and Politics

Religion and Politics | Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy

All of a sudden, I became curious about the usability of ancient cultural practices in a society, some of which can be touted as imaginary, fictional, and unchancy. Recently, a priest complained to my partner that I don’t visit temples more often. And since my partner knows me quite well, he chose to keep mum.

I prefer to stay at home and pray to God rather than going to the temple, where my material offerings are someone else’s earnings, and even then, I cannot pray in peace.

Religions undoubtedly play a major role in the world’s political landscape.

These two different phenomena are deeply interconnected and intertwined with each other.

Mixing and utilizing religion and spiritual faith with politics is a proven formula to build a sound political career.

At the curreent scene, where crimes are uncontrollable, people are getting crazy at the slightest of the moment, black money hoarding is unexpectedly on its record high, despite very advance technology deadly diseases like Cancer and Cardiovascular disease are killing people untimely, road accidents are another cause of millions of death, clashes over religion, and region are still prevalent, what can we say about the people whom we chose to govern the territories.

They promise to give us the moon, but as soon as they gain power, they begin to fill their own pockets. Once they are in a position of power, they forget all moral values in an instant. History shows that when these individuals are caught, they often resort to religion in an attempt to save themselves.

This trend, tendency, and formula is a completely tried and tested formula, which has remained evergreen for centuries and is applicable in any part of the globe.

Truth is beatable now.

My readers will agree that truth is being left behind these days.

Despite advances in communication technology, we are drifting further away from humanity than ever before.

So, in fact, it is becoming increasingly difficult for truth to prevail over lies.

Facts are checked, rechecked, and when we find some intrinsic motive for us, we eventually rebound the same in our favor, thus reality becomes myth, and falsity becomes valid.

With power in our hands, only falsity prevails, and no one even dares to verify what they are getting.

“A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”

Politics is dirty

Therefore, politics is dirty, which makes every normal-looking scenario cringy, clingy, and creepy with innocent people at the receiving end, and those with steering in their hands siphon away all the benefits.

World Press Freedom Index – Wikipedia

Such is the extent of politics that, despite great brouhaha about freedom of expression, we can feel unwritten and unspoken restrictions everywhere, and this practice is prevalent across regions and systems.

Actually, no one, not even the electors, is free to raise their voice against any government policy, making it even harder to achieve a better world.

When executives follow government steps by step, the judiciary begins to issue favorable judgments for the government, the media starts concealing the truth from the general public, and with their unwavering support, the legislature behaves as if the other side is its subordinate.

The influence of politics creates numerous unwritten and unspoken restrictions on freedom of expression, a phenomenon evident across various regions and systems.

So what next?

We are facing an unprecedented and troubling turn of events, as our once-mighty Earth is becoming an undesirable place to live, all thanks to our negative approach.

HUMANITY Definition & Meaning – Merriam-Webster

.

We started as a single entity, and after countless inventions to simplify our lives, our own actions are destroying the very pillars that sustain us.

Reloading, rebooting, and restarting may work to restore the grace and goodness of humanity, but it is probably too late for that purpose.

Political leaders have ruined all the holy teachings, cultural morals, and basic ethics; the only hope is with the common people, who are still holding their cultural inheritance close to their hearts.
